Russia’s IKAR ups 2019 wheat crop forecast
MOSCOW: IKAR, a leading agriculture consultancy in Moscow, said on Monday that it had raised its forecast for Russia’s 2019, wheat crop by 200,000 tonnes to 75.6 million tonnes.
Its forecast for all grain crops was raised by 700,000 tonnes to 122.7 million tonnes, IKAR added in a note
It did not provide a reason for the upgrade IKAR’s estimates for the barley and maize (corn) crops stand at 20.6 million tonnes and 14.1 million tonnes, respectively, it added.
